- Try changing the "Working Directory" property of the ICON so that it doesn't

- NetManages IP tools work fine with other vendors WINSOCKs. One must only change
- the startup directory in the icon properties so that the tool does not find the
- Chameleon WINSOCK first.

- Subject: NT Winsock: Errors From Space
-
- I recently ported some client code from the Unix world to Windows 3.1
- using Trumpet Winsock. After some fiddling, it worked fine. So now
- I take my working Windows app and try to run it on NT. Wham! Trouble.
-
- Here's the gist of my Winsock activities:
-
- - Create a datagram type socket with 'socket'.
- - Use 'bind' to give it a socket id.
- - Use 'sendto' to send a datagram to a server process.
- - Use 'recv' to receive a reply from the server.
-
- The 'recv' call returns with WSAENOTCONN. What? I created a _datagram_
- socket. My Unix man page for 'recv' does not even list ENOTCONN as a
- possible error code for 'recv'. But the Winsock docs do list it as a
- possible error code. How is this possible, and more importantly,
- why is it happening to me on NT and not under Windows 3.1?
-
- Obviously, my Winsock world view is flawed. Can someone toss some
- enlightenment my way?
